Abbas Batliwala

Abbass Batliwala  The art of Abbass not only comprises the satire but also high humour.  It combines well formulated images and literary puns with sharp wit. His art renews language, refreshes it but also retains basic values……and his art does both, with grace and candour. This incredibly creative man with superb craftsmanship draws on everyday experiences for inspiration that he infuses with a dry, witty sense of urban humour mixing folk and kitsch into his art. He has turned ubiquitous subject into hot selling artworks. Themes masterly disciplined through, bringing to the fore his refined draughtsman ship, which, till date, remains at the core of his art.
